What is the best breast pump a pregnant women can buy?
I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and want to breast feed my baby when he is born. I will be returning to work and want to know what is the best breast pump I can buy. I need one that is affordable, convient, and works well. Any suggestions.
I used many affordable breast pumps after I had my two guys. None worked for me except for this one. All the others took me at least 45 minutes to pump what I needed. This one isn't very affordable but I highly recommend it. If you buy the cheaper ones your wasting your money and you can't return breast pumps. I bought all the cheap ones and then bought this one. I would have saved tons if someone had told me just to buy the expensive one.

What is the best breast pump on the market?
I am breast feeding my baby, but looking to freeze some for when I go back to school. Currently with my medela hand held i am getting a total of 1-1.5 per pumping session. This is not enough to freeze!!! What is the best, most effective breast pump that you have used?
I'm really happy with my Hygeia EnJoye. They are the newest pumps on the market, and have been recommended by breastfeeding guru Kathleen Huggins of the Nursing Mothers Companion.

The pump has a rechargeable battery so I can pump wireless, and it is FDA approved to be used by multiple users (so I can safely share/donate it when I'm done). It also has a button that lets me record my LO and listen to him while I am pumping to help with let-down. It's been a very comfortable and effective pump for me!
What is the best breast bump and why?
I'm a new parent and I'm not sure what kind of breast pump I should buy. There are so many different brands on the market. I want something affordable yet good quality. I would hope that the pump I buy will last through this guy and possibly one or two more guyren. So moms, please tell me what breast pumps are the best and why you think they are. Thank you very much.
I have always used Medela, and they work great. If you need to increase your milk supply or are ONLY pumping, the Symphony rental pump (about $70/month, extra for kit) is the best. If it's just for occasional or back-to-work use, the Pump-in-Style Advanced ($280) or the Freestyle ($380), if you want to spend a little more for extra features, is great. All these Medela pumps feature two-phase expression (mimic a baby's sucking) which makes for faster, more comfortable, more productive pumping.

If I ever buy another pump, it'll be an Ameda. They spend less on advertising, which makes their pumps more affordable. The Ameda Purely Yours is widely regarded as comparable to Medela's Pump in Style Advanced, and only costs about half as much! They do have fancier pumps that go up over $300, but you may not need that. It just depends on when and how you'll be using the pump.

I would NOT buy a used pump, though. You really never know where they've been (unless it belonged to your best friend or something). Also, the extent to which the pump was used is so important. They are meant to be used by one mother and the motors don't last forever! The rental pumps are different, of course, but just exercise caution when trying to get a good deal on a purchase pump.

Good luck!
What is the BEST breast size/cup pre pregnancy that you think would not sag in the future?
Best meaning, the biggest size a girl can have to maintain a naturally beautiful breast even after having guys

I know exercise can prevent sagging but which size do you think will naturally maintain good breast size afterwards

Thank you!
34B !

Well, are we talking about teenage girls?
The best breast pump to use infant to six months?
Preferably single breast pump. I want to breastfeed but having my baby latched on to me freaks me out. Please no lectures. These are my feelings and they don't need to be judged. I just want to know for those of you that have used breast pumps, which is the best? Easy to use? Easy to clean?

Thank you!
I am not sure why you would want a single breast pump for exclusive pumping; it would be twice as fast to empty both breasts at once with a double pump. If you really want a single one, the best I've seen is the Medela Swing. It's $150.00, but it wouldn't be the best to keep your supply up, quite honestly.

What I'd recommend for exclusive pumping is the Medela Symphony. It's the same one a lot of hospitals use and is very comfortable and efficient. You rent it rather than buying, and would probably pay in the neighborhood of $70 a month (that is what we charge at work). The kit you'll need is ~$50, and you may be charged a deposit as well. We charge $25 for a deposit, but we return that when the pump is returned. The hospital will probably know where you can find a rental station. The drawback to these is that they are big and awkward to carry around. That won't be an issue if you're only using it at home, and this pump is the only one I'd personally use in a situation like yours. It'll keep your supply going better than any other.

I also like the Medela Freestyle, and some women would probably say this would be fine for exclusive pumping, depending on your supply. It has a bunch of bells and whistles, such as a backlit timer and meter to show the strength at which the pump is set. It also has a memory button, so if you have a good pumping session you can go back to the same settings for next time. It is also a hands-free pump. You can use it while you type emails, write thank-you notes, whatever. It'll run you about $380.

If you just want the very best pump for the money, I'd go with Medela's Pump in Style Advanced. It's about $280, but in my opinion is about as good for efficiency as the Freestyle. It just isn't as fancy.

All three of these pumps feature two-phase expression. If you nurse a baby you'll notice that he first sucks fast and shallow to stimulate your milk let-down. Then he will start sucking longer and deeper when the milk is flowing. The pump simulates that, and it increases mom's comfort as well as decreasing the time spent pumping.

I love the Medela pumps because I've used them and sell them at work. I would NOT recommend buying a used one, because you really never know unless you're getting it from a friend how long it was used, if it's sanitary, and how much life it has left in it. For instance, it could've been stored in a hot attic for three years after having been used for two babies. That wouldn't be the greatest pump to get, even for a cheap price. The motors are not meant to last forever, and I've seen several moms at work who thought they had low milk supply when really they just had an old run-down pump. In your case it's especially important since all the milk your baby gets will be expressed by the pump. The exception is the rental Symphony. The system is closed so there's no way a mother's milk can get into the machine, and they are built to last through many, many mothers.

There is a ton more info at medela.com. Good luck!
Who makes the best breast pump, what kind do you have?
I've been through 3 Lansinoh double electric pumps in the last month! It's the best one I could buy locally. So, I'm taking to the internet for my next purchase. What breast pumps do you ladies favor? Have you heard any were better over another?

I need a double electric pump and I pump very often. So I need something with some power! Suggestions, prices, your expirence with your pumps, etc. Anything will be nice!
I LOVE MY BREASTPUMP!!!! I can pump anywhere!! It's hands-free so I can do other things while pumping and be mobile. It's also come in very handy while driving long distances with my hubby and baby! I can just pump in the back seat if need be. It's worth every single penny!

The Best Breast Augmentation Method and a good surgeon referral in Orange County, CA area?
My 23 year old daughter is planning on a breast augmentation surgery and if I don't do some checking, she will go ahead and have the first surgeon she finds do the surgery for her. I am trying to find out what is the best method out there and see if I can get some referrals in O.C. area. I heard now days they go thru the belly botton and there would be no marks. Any guidance will be appreciated.
A good site that may help you find the information you seek is thru the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. You can also find information on there about different procedures.
What is the best breast pump out there?
Looking for things for a new mom, and was wondering about breast pumps. Friends have raved about them, but nobody seems to know which brand is the best. I've looked up reviews online, but all I have seen have extremely positive and negative ones. There's not a general consensus. Help?
A double electric with a long warranty. The longer the warranty, the longer it was designed to last.
Best Breast Cancer Center in Philadelphia or Baltimore?
I was just diagnosed with breast cancer & live in the MD/DE/PA area and would like to find the best cancer center in the area. I know there are quite a few in Baltimore & Philly and have no clue where to go? Also wondering the difference between a Cancer Center & a Comprehensive Cancer Center?
Obviously the "big gun" here is Johns Hopkins. They are a comprehensive cancer center and one of the top hospitals in the country.

With that said, I chose not to be treated there. It is a large teaching hospital. Its reputation is that you are treated like a number. I have known women who WORK at Hopkins who chose to be treated elsewhere.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Greater Baltimore Medical Center for treatment. They actually treat more breast cancer patients than Hopkins. Their oncology staff is excellent. Truly first class. They will use the latest protocols and they treat you like you matter. You will feel safe and cared for as a person. I would trust any of their oncologists to treat me (but of course, I like my own best of all ...).
What brand is the best for breast feeding? Medela or Simplisse?
I am due in June and am trying to figure out the best breast pump to get. I tried breastfeeding when I had my first guy but the breast-pump I had hurt, and there were other complications. I want to try again...but I know the first thing to do is get a proper breast pump. My research so far has said that Medela and Simplisse are two of the best. But I would like to get other opinions.. Which is better?
Most hospitals use Medela.
