College Guy trying to find a way to eat better at home? I am a college guy who is trying to find a website where I can find filling meals to eat at lunch and dinner
I am in good shape but I can only take so much of ramen noodles, 1 dollar tony's pizzas, etc.
I like stuff like mash potatoes, peas and steak, but I always forget to buy that stuff at the grocery, prompting myself to buy quick 5-10 meals
Anyone have any good suggestions or websites?
I usually have about 300 to spend a month on food |
| www.cooks.com has any recipe you could want. Also if you have $300 a month to shop for groceries, try going to places you can buy in bulk. It'll eat up more of your money sooner, but you'll have more food in the long run. Try making meals that you can make tons of and freeze. Chili is great, a pot can last you for many meals, and you can change it up every time you have it. Make sure you buy whole grain or whole wheat foods, that fills you up faster with eating less, and is healthy for you, unlike white breads and pasta's and rice. Take a weekend and prepare your meals ahead of time, this saves time and then when you get back home from class, the last thing you want to do is cook, and thus leads to buying pizza. Make whole wheat spaghetti one night, and then use the left overs, add cheese and bake it in the oven the next night. If you like steak and potatoes, check the sales flyers for the grocery stores, they put meat on sale all the time. For mashed potatoes, try adding chili spice to it one time, great taste! But do check out www.cooks.com. |
Ladies What would you think of a 20yr old college guy working at pizzahut? There is this guy that I like but he's 20, a college junior and working at pizza hut and isn't even an assistant manager. Isn't that bad at his age or am I just being picky. |
I'm not a girl but at that age your lucky to have a job in this economy.
I know tons of people in college/university looking for a job 18-22, and they can't even find one. He's employed he's lucky!

How can I stand out and seem interesting to a college guy? I like a guy in college, he's pretty popular, so he has more choices other than me to choose from. His friends are pretty and I'm just average I guess but still cute. How can I make myself stand out from the other girls? Should I make a conversation that concerns the things he like such a acting and talking about being a doctor? I really want to get his number but girls don't really ask for a guy's number unless they want to hang out but I'm too shy for that! : ( HELP!!! |
Casually sit by him at an event or during class (as if you didn't plan it). Say hello, and start up a casual conversation about the class or the event (don't seem like you know too much about him, make him want to show you what he likes). Be yourself, and most importantly be confident. Smile, but seem casual. This will make you seem real and outgoing. Do this off and on, (not everyday) and hopefully your conversations will get more in depth. Ask him about him!! He should ask you for YOUR number, but if he doesn't, wait a while and invite him to an event where there will be lots of people (= no pressure for him).
Hope this helps! |
What is a better looking polo for a COLLEGE GUY? I am in the middle of my college life and I see LOTS of polo and a little bit of A&F (small moose logo only, NO A&F words, the students are just wearing solid clothing with a small moose logo).
Which looks more attractive on a college guy - the solid A&F polo or a solid RL polo? |
| It doesn't really matter I've seen thirty year old men wearing A&F polos and most of them look good, that is if you have a little muscle showing and stuff. I agree with the guy saying RL polos are more adequate for your age... for college students. But where i live everybody wears A&F my dad even wears them and he is 48. It shouldn't matter as long as your comfortable in the shirt, and the color of the shirt is nice, If i where you I would wear both of them on different ocassions that is lol. You can also wear Lacoste polos but they are all nice its not like you are wearing a cheap polo, either way A&F and RL are cool brands. |
I'm a college guy. What's a cool, serious costume to wear to biology class for halloween? ? I'm a college guy. What's a cool, serious costume to wear to biology class for halloween? The professor may give extra credit. |
You could go as a cadaver.
Or a stereotypical research scientist - all you'd need is a lab coat, a wild hairdo, a slide rule and pocket protector and a clip board with a timer on it (for timing your experiment).
Or go as a nerdy grad student. Wrinkle up your clothes so it looks like you slept in them (make sure they don't match - go to goodwill and look for some plaid pants). Put red around your eyes so it looks like you haven't had any sleep. Put a "kick me" sign on your back (EVERYBODY kicks grad students around). Put a candy bar in your pocket (grad students don't have time or money to eat real food). Slick your hair down and part it in the middle with a big cowlick in the back. Carry around a full backpack (fill it with paper so it looks full but isn't heavy). |
If you were a college guy, would you date a girl who was saving herself for marriage? Pretty simple: If you were a college aged guy, would you want to go out with a girl who refused to have sex until marriage? |
| I don't think it's terribly reasonable to not date someone for the sole reason that she won't have sex with you until marriage. Honestly I would probably try to avoid it, though, because even if you do marry her, she would still be presumably conservative about sex (though I could be wrong), and probably does not know much about it, because of her inexperience. It is, as "Sweets" pointed out, a matter of respect, but only up to a certain point. I can understand a girl wanting to wait a while in a new relationship before having sex, and we should respect that, but after a certain loosely defined point in the relationship it seems almost ridiculous to abstain in my opinion. If sex is important to you (and if you're the guy, which I'm assuming you are, it most certainly is), then the last thing you want to do is get stuck in a marriage with a wife who has sex with you only because she feels she has to. If you're not looking for a relationship that serious, however, then why not? |
How can a Chinese college guy do to practice English effeciently? how can a Chinese college guy do to practice English effeciently? Where I find a native speaker who is willing to help me? I can teach him/her Chinese as a return. |

Would a 28 yro woman ever be attracted to a hot college guy?
So would a 28 year old woman, who has a nice career track, ever feel attracted to a hot college guy? (assuming he was smart, mature, and went to an ivy league college?) Assume he's around 20 to 21. He's not the hottest guy around, but is "high up there"
I mean, shes old enough to have a family, and the college guy doesn't even have a job. She could even end up paying his tuition and fraternity dues hahaha. |
| I don't see why not. That is an age gap, but it's not that bad of an age gap. I know two different guys who have older girlfriends. Its a l ot more common these days. One guy is about 22-23, and his fiance is like 35, and the other guy is also 22 and he is dating a 32 year old. |
My sis is gonna sneak away with some college guy. What should i do? She's about to sneak out of the house with some college guy. Shes 16 and he's 19. She told me that she doesn't know where shes going with him. But i think she's going to some college party. Or he might take advantage of her. What should i do? Should i be worried? |
| Hmmm well I think I have a feeling there will be drinks there but she's smart enough not to do anything stupid right? Just warn her about that and tell her not to start kissing the guy because that will lead to other... things that should be prevented especially in this situation! Sounds like a "Don't say I didn't warn you" thing |
How do i get a guy to notice me at College? Guys only? im 20 im single, in college, and i want a guy to notice me, no guy has asked, im some what shy but i do talk to people, what should i wear that would make a guy notice me do i need to change hairstyles, or what i dont want to get the wrong attention from a guy, but i want to date again its been almost 4 years since i been out on a date with someone. any ideas and what attracts you to a girl guys.. |
| Don't change by any means. Let a guy love you for the person you are. I'm sure maybe some guys might be taken or just focus on school at the moment. With that being said looking your best can lead more guys to stare at you by far. Remember though let a guy love you for your personality and not just appearance. Good luck Leigh Ann and have faith and God on your side. Promise me you'll always be a sweetheart. Good night and good luck. |
