Help? Flashing videos? How can i stop them from flashing? Whenever i go on a site and i see a video there it starts flashing like crazy. Like youtube videos they keep flashing. Also when i am on myspace and the layout, some of the layout just flash and i cant see anything! Could this be a media problem on my computer? |
A very likely suspect: Antivirus program. Try disabling it.
Something is interrupting the stream of data from the Internet, impossible to say without debugging by trial and error. |
Why are youtube videos flashing in an out when I scroll up or down? Like when I scroll the screen flashes fast? Not the entire computer screen, but the youtube video
Suggestions to correct this problem? Never happened before until now. |
Maybe uninstall your adobe flash player.Go to your control panel to add and remove programs.
Then check for flash players by searching. There are many new ones that can be downloaded for free.
That may solve this issue.

How can I stop my computer from flashing white on my screen when I scroll or watch videos? When I watch videos and scroll, random rectangular shapes just flash white on the screen. I also can't record stuff on the screen, which sucks too. This is on a Mac. |
| You have to update the video drivers. That is what I've always done when I reformat and have that problem. |
Is it my vcr or damaged videos? on-off flashing? when I play very old videos from the library on my vcr, the screen goes to blue every few seconds/minutes, for a few seconds, though the sound doesn't stop. It's fine in FF mode, but when you try to play the movie normally, you get this on-off flashing constantly. Is it the poor quality of the video, is the vcr getting old, or both? thanks. |
| good audio but poor video is a symtom of bad tracking or tape tension. old videos recorded at EP or SLP do not work well when played back on a different deck due to slight tracking errors recorded into the video. if the VCR is old, it may have trouble maintaining proper back tension on the tape due to weak belts. you might have better luck playing the tapes if you first fast wind to end and rewind to beginning so as to make the pack of tape on the reel uniform. |
My youtube videos keep flashing? My videos keep flashing and shaking. It's like someone is shaking the camera.
My flash player is up to date. So is java. Anything else I should update? Or any other help? |
YOU DON'T NEED ANY DOWNLOADER. SOME ANSWERERS ARE ACTUALLY
DISGUISED SALESPEOPLE, TRYING TO "SUCKER" YOU INTO BUYING THEIR
TOTALLY UNNECESSARY (AND BOGUS) SOFTWARE.
If videos are flickering, shaking or jumping back-and-forth
from big to small or from top-left to bottom-right, perhaps
something is wrong with your Flash player, particularly if
you've got one of the newer Flashes.
There is no need to have the latest flash player, because
nothing about watching videos on YouTube has changed
in the last 2 years. (Technically speaking, you could still
use Flash 8 if you wanted to.)
In fact, the more recent Flash players are causing plenty
of grief for lots of YouTubers -- especially the 8 variations
of version 10. It's absolutely crazy that there should be a
10.0.525, 10.1.218, 10.2.26, 10.2.54, 10.12.10, 10.12.36,
10.15.3 and 10.22.87. Most updates are usually good for
only one thing: computer/software conflicts.
I have never strayed away from 9.47, and many "flashers"
swear by 9.45. Think of those two Flashes like Windows
XP compared to Vista. Please take a look at the Asker's
feedback comments to this other "Best Answer" of mine,
(even though his YouTube issue isn't the same as yours):

Another thing you might want to consider is whether you
have some crappy utility such as GWA, SpeedBit, Jaton,
Trident, Diamond Fire, ATI or Easy Video Accelerator.
Of course nothing "accelerates" live streaming video files.
Even YouTube, Google and Macromedia understand this
and write that in their own FAQ's. Thus, if your computer
has any type of "accelerator", please dump it, burn it, rip
it, kick it, trash it, uninstall it -- do all that you can to get
as far away from it as possible.
Because lots of people since April have asked this same
question, I recently did lots of Googling, researching and
reading about "flickering/shaking" videos -- and nearly all
the discussion forums I came across mentioned "nVidia"
drivers. Do you maybe have one installed on your comp? |
